Eight Antique AYNSLEY PLATES Made in England for S&G GUMP Co.

Art Deco ~ 9-inch
For sale are these lovely antique/vintage English bone china dishes. Their size is perfect for many uses--luncheon, salads, sandwiches, first courses, tea, cake, etc.
They were made in the early twentieth century by Aynsley, England--marked in green and black underglaze on the bottom. Decorated with a gold band around the rim, a patterned, encrusted gold band and then another fine gold band on the verge,
the Art Deco pattern is so simple and elegant, it combines perfectly with other tableware and decor.
I believe this pattern was made just for S&G Gump Co., San Francisco, a luxury 'department' store opened in 1861. The plates were purchased as part of a bridal set,
along with similar patterns from Limoges which I've also listed.
I have 8 (eight) of these plates available, and all are in Excellent Antique/Vintage Condition, with no visible cracks or chips and light wear consistent with age.
Each plate measures approximately 9 inches across the top.
They'd make a wonderful wedding, housewarming or anniversary gift!
