I am pleased to offer a very rare stunning footed bone china cup and saucer set made by Aynsley, England
This is a fancy cabinet set
PANSY floral pattern which has been completely hand painted with enamelled details
All on a dramatic black background colorway
I have never seen this pattern or comparable design produced by Aynsley offered before
The cup shape is the collectible and larger ATHENS with a large open bowl and prominent handle
Likely dates from the 1950s
I can find no chips or cracks or hairlines or signs of restoration, but neither the cup or saucer "ping" as bone china should possibly due to the very fine crazing lines present over the white surfaces
Cup measures 2 1/4"  tall at sides and is 5 1/8" across including handle; saucer is 5 3/4" across
Marked as shown in photo with Aynsley crown mark in green with  pattern name PANSY handpainted as well as pattern
Please ignore all white spots on all photos caused by camera flash
This lovely set would make a great addition to your collection
