Maker
: This wonderful cup and saucer set is by England's renowned ceramics firm Aynsley, which has been producing fabulous china in Staffordshire since 1775. Its beauty and striking pattern are evidence of the high quality the firm has always been known for.
Design
: The pattern
features finely painted cobalt blue panels of gold scrollwork alternating with bursts of rust flowers against a background of thin and translucent bone china.
A green Aynsley back stamp appears on both pieces. The
pattern
number B1605 is on the cup's base.
Condition
: Both pieces are in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, repairs or wear. There is light wear to the gold on the handle; it can be seen in the photos.
Size
: The cup is 2 1/8 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches wide at the opening. The saucer is 5 1/2 inches wide.
