Aynsley, "Orchard Gold" Hand Painted Cup/Saucer, Signed

Description

For your consideration, a magnificent gilded cup and saucer, made of finest bone china in England by Aynsley. A very fine example of this highly desirable pattern, the cup features a richly gilt foot, handle and interior, and the exterior is hand painted with grapes, plums and pears typical of this pattern. The cup is signed, low on the cup, between the plum and the handle, D. Jones. We show this in picture #4. The saucer features a gilded rim and center with the matching border of hand painted orchard fruits, and signed N. Brunt, as shown in picture #7, just below the two blackberries.
Cup measures 4" by 2.25". Saucer measures 5.75" diameter.
Both are in very good condition. The saucer is perfect, the cup has a very small light scratch through the gold of the cup interior, very minor. We have tried to picture this for you, in the center of the last picture.
