Lovely vintage large  pedestal bone china cup and saucer set made by Aynsley, England
Deep pink background and gold filigree details - pink being THE most collectible color
The stunning BAILEY ROSE & POPPY pattern - roses, poppies and cornflowers with varied leaves
Hand painted over transfer
Complete with artist facsimile signature J.A. Bailey on  inner cup
c 1951-52
Likely a cabinet or presentation set as it appears to have been minimally used (if at all)
Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, staining, other damage or restoration on either piece
No wear to the floral pattern and no wear to gold
Cup  measures 2 3/8" tall at sides and is 5" across including handle; saucer is 5 7/8" across
Marked with older Aynsley crown mark in dark green - cup has pattern number 1543 handpainted in black and number 27 indicating production date of 1950; saucer has c1543 in gold and number 28 indicating production date of 1951 as shown in photos
