AYNSLEY Cobalt Blue with Pink Rose Teacup, C1515 Series, made in England 1950's

Description

Beautiful vintage AYNSLEY teacup & saucer set, made in England 1950's.  The design includes a delicate garland of gold scrolls inside the teacup and on the saucer with half circle gold trim on the rims.  A pink rose with small blue flowers is in the center of the teacup.  Gold on the handle. The rim of the teacup measures 4" wide and  2 1/4" high, the saucer is 5 1/2" wide.  There are no cracks, chips or crazing.  Small amount of gold wear due to it's vintage age (well over 50 years old) mainly on the teacup handle.  Barely noticeable hairline scratches on the saucer, possibly from a display stand, I did not see them until I looked under a very bright light. I have circled in picture number 10.  It was found at an estate sale and as there is no tea stains I believe it to have never been used.  This is a hard to find AYNSLEY design and would be a perfect addition for your collection.  Will also make a wonderful gift for the guest of honor at your upcoming tea party.
